Hello!
This time of year reminds us the importance of Family, Brings us all together and hopefully enjoy each others company. For some having all the Family around is a daunting task, one that they just rather not have to indulge. For me, It's one of the not so many times nearly all my Family gets together around the table, which I personally love. But I suppose not everyone is lucky to have a good relationship with their family. I invited my Mum and two brothers over for lunch today, and we had treats, played computer games and finished off by watching a Christmas Film, Auther Christmas, which is one of my modern favourites.
Whether it's your Friends or Family, It is important to show each other how much we care. We always try to have a day with our Family and Friends to enjoy the festivities because that is what it is all about to me, Spending time with your nearest and dearest. I think sometimes or quite often we can lose sight of what is important especially around this time of the year, we concentrate so hard on getting gifts for people in our lives, which they may or may not get enjoyment out of and gift buying is hard work right? For myself, Christmas is about being thankful for what we have got, our families, friends, our homes and sharing experiences with our loved ones. There is always somebody worse off than ourselves out there, who might be alone, sleeping rough or worse. I am not one to pray but I do take the time to myself to think about all of the people in the world and say thanks because we are the lucky ones.
I guess the message of today's post is to enjoy life to the full and spend it with those that you love dearly because memories are what you can hold on to, especially at this time of year because it's a rarity to have everyone together because of their busy lifestyles. It's the simple things in life like sitting down with your family watching a festive film which is special to me. What about you?
