Relaxing at Home- Blogmas Day 22

Hello!

So you have done all your Christmas Shopping, all the presents wrapped, cards sent out and you have your house looking like Santa's grotto, now what? Well, we all know it's not over yet, there's present delivering, baking and cooking to be done for all, you may be having all the family over for a Roast dinner, dining with friends, there is always pressure. Sometime or in my case most of the time I put too much pressure on myself, panic and stress about the things that need to be done, so it's good to have some 'Me' time. At Christmas time I like to get on my Favourite warm Pyjamas on, cosy up in bed, read a book and have some little treats. As I have mentioned before hot chocolate and biscuits with little twinkling lights all tucked up in a nice blanket is my idea of relaxation at this time of the year.

Things I like to do to relax:

  • Putting my feet up, do you feel that feet? that's relaxation!
  • Watch Netflix or a film or Read a Book depending on the mood.
  • Paint my nails, I find painting my finger and toe nails very therapeutic
  • Get a Facemask on and let it do its magic
  • Get cosy in some Blankets
  • Light some Candles
  • Meditate, I like to meditate using the App Calm which really does help you relax even put you to sleep!
  • Watch my Favourite Youtubers The Sacconejolys
  • Listen to Relaxing Music, there are loads of good playlists on Spotify to choose from for relaxation
  • Get a nice hot drink, especially hot chocolate and squirty cream topped with Marshmallows!
If you are looking for something to read, something not too heavy which guides you into a happier place, I can't recommend The Little Book of Hygge. I was sceptical about it, thinking what's all the fuss about, but honestly, If you are trying to make your life a little happier and cosy give this book a try. I downloaded a sample of the book on my Kinde App before purchasing. I was going to get a digital copy but being the type of book it was I thought it would be nice to have a hard copy to read and switch off from the Digital world whilst reading it.

Have you heard of Hygge? What do you think of when you think of Hygee?

I have also started reading From Paris with Love this Christmas by Jules Wake on my Kindle, which isn't my normal go to type of book but I'm actually getting into the story so far. Have you read any of these two books?
