As the weather is getting that little bit warmer, I have ditched my comfy boots for more in season Footwear. Ipanema from Brazil specialise in Flip Flops, Sandals and Wedged Footwear that are vibrant and full of character.
What is also great about them is that their ethics include helping to improve the lives of their employees and local communities, to sustain a better future.
They are environmentally friendly too, Ipanema's foot wear are made from 100% recyclable PVC!
If you would like more information visit their About page here.
When looking through the website I noticed that they have many variations of colours for each design, something that when looking for that perfect sandal can be a problem. You might love the style but not necessarily the colour. Ipanema wanted to reflect the spirit and lifestyle of the Brazilian Culture in their footwear, which is why they have so many colourful and quirky designs. Some even have customisable design with interchangeable badges. Pretty Cute right?
They have some great styles of foot wear on their website but If I had to pick three, these would be them. I chose them because of their versatile designs, meaning they could be worn for different times of the day and various occasions.
Firstly I loved the style of the Lipstick II Wedge, I love the Anchor design on the wedge of the shoe, It gives the shoe a monochrome look from a distance. These would be perfect for an evening whilst on holiday, paired with a mini skirt or dress, for a relaxed casual look but with the height!
I really like the Gladiator style of sandals and flip flops, so when I spotted these, they had to be on my wish list. They don't have a buckle on them like traditional Gladiator style shoe but the rubber press studs for adjusting the tightness of the shoe, make the shoes easier to pop on and off on the beach or besides the pool. No buckle tarnishing over time is also a bonus!
The Festival Sandal is perfect for just that. They are very similar in design to the Gladiator but rather than a stud look, they have a gold leaf down the centre of the sandal. I would pair these with a kimono, high waist denim shorts, casual tee and a fringed bag.
I hope you have enjoyed todays post. If you would like me to discuss anything in particular or would like to ask me a question. Please leave a comment below.
