Hair care Routine- My first Video

Today I am talking about hair care. I have naturally red hair not that has anything to do with its condition, but over the years I have bleached and dyed my hair over and over. Resulting in my hair taking a lot of chemical and heat damage. Back when GHD's were the must have hair appliance I thought it was great to finally have straight hair, after years of hating my curly hair.

Looking back now, it wasn't that bad. My hair was down my back and I decided that short hair was for me and so was the bottle of dye. This was probably my biggest hair regret. My mum asked me over and over to make sure that I wanted it cutting, I had my heart set on having my hair shorter.

I love it, however it soon dawned on me after alot of heat damage and damage from hair colourants had left me with with split and brittle hair. I would find myself just cutting above the damaged end. It resolved the problem. For a short time. I soon got the straighteners back out , as to did the bleach. I clearly didn't learn my lesson. I thought my hair would grow back pretty quick, but it didn't. My hair was seriously damaged. P.s Hair extensions can be damaging too. I learnt that lesson the hard way...

When I finished University in the Summer of 2014 I decided that I would let my natural hair colour grow out, My hair was growing back thicker and my hair at the roots was no longer frizzy like the ends of my hair. I realised that I had a lot of work to do on getting my hair back on track.

Here I am now. After Graduating in October Im sure it was...oops. I soon realised that to get my hair growing again and back to its natural red headed glory I would need to have it cut. I had my hair cut just below my shoulder. Don't get me wrong my hair has grown, but it has taken a lot of will power to not straighten my hair everyday. To help my hair grow I have been cutting the split ends when I see them, as I don't want to have my hair cut too much. Maybe that is bad but it works for me and my hair.

Anyhow I have been using intensive hair masks, nourishing conditioners and plenty of heat protection to grow long and healthy hair. I have also been taking Hair, Skin and Nails tablets from holland and Barrett which have been helping with clearing up my acne too. Win Win!

I began to research natural remedies online for nourishing and growing out your hair. I come across many people using a combination of natural oils, so I decided to purchase some from Amazon. All the products in the image below come from Amazon.co.uk and at a steal price of just under £17, a price you could pay for a hair mask from the drugstore, but all natural!

I had heard of the inversion method thrown around social media and online for some time, so I thought I would give it ago too. I do this process once a week using these products.
I use a table spoon of each oil and Microwave them in a Microwavable dish for around 1 Minute before adding the oil to an empty spray bottle. I then follow the steps as shown in the Inversion method link. I have been leaving the oil in over night and washing out in the morning.

The day after I normally use a moisturising and nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner for dry and frizzy prone hair. This helps the blow drying process. Normally after I have shampooed my hair, I use an intensive hair mask for 5 mins whilst in the shower. I have been loving Mark Hill's MiracOILicious intensive treatment. It smells amazing! I then use a normal conditioner for extra shine. Before styling I always use a heat protector, Lee Stafford Miracle Heat Defence Spray is my go to product for this. To me it smells a little like hair spray, but it does seem to do the trick.

After Styling I like to add a little of the MiracOILicious Argan Oil to the ends of my hair and run the rest through my hair. It leaves your hair super shiny and smelling gorgeous.
