Today I thought I would share with you a few recent purchases that I made at Boots. I have been a faithful user of Vichy Dermablend for some years now, I have tried different foundations in between but nothing has come close to the coverage. I needed the coverage. I have scars and marks on my face from Contact Dermatitis and Rosacea, because of my fair skin, marks were more prominent, so I have always tried to cover up. Thankfully my skin has been calm over the past few years. I have Little patches now and again but by keeping safe, using products I know work for my skin, my skin is much clearer. Like I say I have tried different things but Vichy has alway been my base. Not any more!
As I don't have as many scars and marks on my face, as they have faded over time I thought it was time to try a lighter foundation which gives me enough coverage but light in consistency. After dragging my boyfriend (bless him) around the cosmetics section of Boots, I finally found a shade and product that suited me. Maybelline New Yorks Super Stay 24 Foundation was my choice. It has SPF 19 which is great for fair skin like mine, It is apparently breathable and non-transferable. Non- transferable suggests to me that if wont come off your face too easily. I always find with foundation that I have used in the past that it was quick to sink into the pores of my skin or come off by touching my face. Hopefully it will live up to what it states. Mini review may be in order!

If you have never tried the Soap & Glory makeup range I suggest you give something a try. One Heck of a Blot is my favourite pressed powder. I always struggle to find one that is light enough for my skin. I like a powder which is fairly transparent to set my makeup. During the Winter months I tend to stay away from face powders as my face gets really dry, so the past month I have been going back to pressed powder for them sunny days. Although I have not seen many sunny days in this part of Yorkshire recently...I also noticed that the packaging has slightly changed. I will try and find my other One Heck Of A Blot to compare.

I have been on the search for some new brushes to add to my collection, plus some of my Real Technique brushes were looking worse for wear. I have always looked after my brushes but I think over time the glue holding the bristles has slowly deteriorated. I was going to get the same set again from Real Techniques but I decided to try the Limited Edition Duo-Fiber Collection which includes a Face Brush, Contour Brush and Eye Brush. They are super soft to the touch so I cant wait to use these babies! I also really like that they are an all black design but keeping the colour schemes from the other sets in the writing on the side.

I also purchased some Barry M Nail Paints. I love painting my nails but unfortunately I don't always have the opportunity to do so. I love Barry M's Nail Paints so I thought I would add two more to my collection. These two colours caught my eye, I have not seen them before so maybe they have been sold out the last time I went to Boots but I thought they were great colours for summer that would go with any outfit. The two shades that I got are Passion Fruit 514 and Coconut 444 which was the last one! woop! When I purchased them Barry M was buy one get one half price! Double woop! I posted a picture of my nails in Passion Fruit 514 on Instagram if you would like to check that out.

Finally I purchased a Ted Baker Makeup bag containing a miniature of their body lotion, body spray and a Lip balm. I also purchased a full size version of the Mint body spray from the new collection, which smells divine! I couldn't make up my mind which one to get from their new collection, hence why I got the mini set too. As far as I'm aware this is all from their new collection so be sure to check that out. The Ted Baker range are probably my favourite purchases from this Haul. Ted Baker make great beauty products and I really like the floral illustrations on the products which are similar in style to the illustrations on their other products. Super cute and girly. I have become such a sucker for cute looking products.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my Haul, let me know what you think in the comments. Also please do take part in my survey at the side of my blog, I would really like you guys input on my blog posts :)
Until next time xox
