Let's be honest if you love everything beauty, you will love trying different products for your skin, whether it's your face or your body. With so many products out there with so many different claims saying they can make your skin glow and clear your skin in no time, I have put together some of my Favourites which are no bullshit products which do what they claim to, as well as some products for your Body which I personally smell lush!
The Body shop- Himalayan Charcoal Face Mask
I'm not going to lie the first time I used this product I was that excited to use it, I didn't read what was on the packaging, which ended up with my eyes watering. My fault completely and no judgment on the quality of this product at all. So if you are thinking of purchasing this product, firstly don't put it too close to your eyes. It will feel like putting toothpaste in your eyes or an onion near them.
The product is a thick cream like consistency with chunks of charcoal which exfoliate your skin as you wash it off, giving your skin a glowy look. Depending on how sensitive your skin is this could vary. Again I found this out, if you have hyper-sensitive skin don't put the mask on thick, because it will result of you scrubbing your face to death. Lesson 2 learned phaha! No, but really, this is a great product, It left my skin so smooth, normally when I use a Facemask which drys onto the skin, I end up with burns from my hyper-allergic reactions to chemicals, or I have major breakout with incredibly bumpy skin. I love this smell of this mask too. This is definitely my go to mask at the moment.
Soap And Glory- The Righteous Butter
This is my go to Soap & Glory Moisturiser, it has a classic signature Soap & Glory smell which anyone with an interest in beauty can smell a mile off. And it smells blooming lovely! I love the rich sweet smell it leaves on your body and its very enriching for your skin. If you are looking for a great quality moisturiser with a long lasting scent, this is the one for you.
Liz Earle- Gentle Face Exfoliator
The clue is in the name, well not really but it's stating the obvious BUT it really does stick to its claims. I have tried so many exfoliators with having sensitive skin, which all have ended up with a chemical burn or some really bad dry skin. If you are a sensitive skin type like myself, not good... There is only so much makeup in the world that can cover burns.
THIS on the other hand, is a gorgeous little product. I am currently on my second lot of this and I shan't be looking back. It really is gentle on your skin, leaves your skin feeling smooth and pampered. The scent makes me feel like I have just walked out of a spa.
Origins- Checks and Balances
I picked up this in a set of Origin Miniatures, and this has got to be one of my favourites. This Lavender smelling face wash gets really frothy. You only need a small amount to lather all over your face, and it gets all the dirt off your face. I tend to use cleansing wipes to remove my makeup and some cleansing water. Looking back at the wipes or cotton wool pad when nothing appeared on them, I presumed my face was clean. The first time I used this I was surprised how much more makeup come off on my cleansing cloth. Just when you think you have a good skin regime and you are looking after your skin the best you can, It can be surprising what a difference trying new products out can be.
Treacle Moon- My coconut Island
I love Treacle Moon Body wash, So when I got some minis for Christmas, I decided to take this one on Holiday with me to Tenerife as it is a coconut scent, which naturally I thought was fitting for a holiday in the sun. It smells Gorge! It gets super foamy so you don't need a great deal if you lather it up well. They are Vegetarian and Vegan-Friendly too! Also If you like their products you can design your own bottle on their App for a chance to win some prizes, cool hey?
Friction Free Shaving- Cationic Shaving cream
Firstly If you have not heard or tried the Razors from Friction Free Shaving, you seriously need to go check them out. I might do a blog post about my shaving experience with these razors but they are seriously good. In short, you pay a monthly subscription for them to deliver you new Razors every month, you get one blade for each week which I think is just fabulous.
In the end, I canceled my subscription for the Shaving cream because the idea of getting them delivered through your letter box was a great idea for me, time-saving and no worry about when you was going to get to the shops to get some new blades and shaving cream. When I signed up I opted for the shaving cream also, which unfortunately I was out and the package wouldn't fit through my letter box. Which for me was incredibly annoying, going to the post office and picking up a package which has the word shaving on it. Not that shaving is a taboo subject, It was more the case of I work various hours and going to the post office every month the collect my razor and shaving cream was not on my agenda when I ordered these. So I decided to give the cream a go, I haven't used it every time I have shaved, but when my hair gets longer quicker at times.. sorry TMI... That's when I tend to use it, as it helps your hair stick up for a really close shave and softens the hairs.
I will probably order some more, but for now adding it to my subscription didn't make sense to me, if I wasn't using it all in a month. If the boxes were wider and flat, it wouldn't have an issue getting through the letter box.
This has no reflection on the product itself, It does leave your legs feeling super smooth, and it is a lovely smelling product. It is a great companion to your shaver, which is why I included it in this post. The Manuka Honey, Shea butter and coconut oil in this product smells lovely and leaves your legs silky smooth.
I hope you have enjoyed this post. If you have any questions about any of these products or just wanna chat, leave a comment below or message me on my social pages.
