Today I thought I would talk about my perfect winter night in. At this time of year we are surrounded by festive music in the shops, confectionery, chocolate.. chocolate everywhere! I am more a candy/sweet kinda gal myself but I cant resist a hot chocolate and chocolate fingers, anyhow hot chocolate and chocolate nibbles for some reason inspired me to discuss what makes the Perfect night in.
Get your Favourite Pyjamas on
Nothing is better than getting cosy after a long day than getting our favourite Pyjamas on, especially after a long day, whether its a day at work, shopping or just doing odd jobs around the house. I have a few fluffy sleepy suites with hoods on them, with various animal faces on them. Depending on the night I can be a fluffy Panda or an Owl lol!
Set the scene
For me setting the scene is important, creating a warm wintry atmosphere can be created by lighting my Yankee Candles, Tea Lights, fairy lights and of course the lights on the Christmas tree, this is of course to create a cosy atmospheric room. I like to surround myself with dim lights at this time of the year, just something warm and relaxing about it. Not forgetting to get some nice cosy blankets and fluffy pillows and get right comfortable.
Pamper yourself
If you are anything like me, nothing says relaxed like getting into your Pyjamas followed by taking off all my makeup and give my skin a nourishing boost, whether its a face mask or a good moisuriser.
Get some snacks in
Well you can't have a cosy night in without getting snacks in ,whether its chocolate, sweets, or your favourite take out. For me, getting all cosy on the sofa at this time of the year is about savory snacks like maize onion rings, chocolate biscuits and a hot chocolate with sprinkles and marshmallows.
Watch a film
You can't have a cosy night in at home without watching a film, and at this time of the year it has to be a festive one. I have spoken about my favourite Christmas movies in Blogmas Day 3 so check that out. My Boyfriend and I mid way through a Potterthon, I know its not festive but I am a huge potter fan. Although I will probably end up watching Home Alone 2 because it is my favourite Christmas Movie!
